Bigg Boss to shut down: Pollution Board orders closure of shooting studio

Big Boss Kannada Season 12, one of the most-watched shows in Kannada cinema, is being shut down. This order has been issued by the KSPCB (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) of Karnataka. It is alleged that serious violations of environmental norms have occurred at the studio in Bidadi where the show's shooting is taking place.

On October 6, the board instructed Wells Studios and Entertainment Private Limited to immediately cease all activities (including shooting) ongoing at the site.

According to the board's statement, a large-scale entertainment and studio operation is being run on the premises, while the necessary establishment permission and Consent to Operate have not been obtained for it. This is in violation of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

The notice warns that if the studio does not comply with the order and is not immediately shut down, strict action will be taken against them.

12th season of Bigg Boss Kannada is currently underway in this studio. The show was started on September 28 with 19 contestants. This show is hosted by popular Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep. This is the most-watched show in Kannada. Currently, 3 contestants have been evicted from the show, after which the shooting of the show continues with the remaining 16 contestants. The show is streamed on Colors Kannada channel and Jio Hotstar.
