Amidst continuous cases of deepfake images being created by AI (Artificial Intelligence), Hrithik Roshan has approached the Delhi High Court to secure personality rights. He filed a lawsuit on Tuesday for the protection of personality rights and the court has given legal protection.
On Wednesday, the court directed removal of certain objectionable posts against him on social media. Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora said it was not passing any ex-parte directions, at the interim stage, for the removal of certain fan pages and said an order would be passed after hearing them.
The court, which listed the matter for further hearing on March 27, 2026, said it would pass a detailed interim injunction order later.
Just before Hrithik Roshan, Suniel Shetty had approached the Bombay High Court on October 10 for the protection of personality rights. According to his petition, his pictures and videos are being used without permission on business platforms and astrology platforms.
Suniel Shetty has also demanded action against merchandise being sold using his image. It is alleged that some people are doing business using deepfake images of him and his grandson.
