Akshay Kumar's much-awaited film 'Kesari Chapter 2' does not seem to be living up to expectations at the box office. Released on April 18, this film has been able to earn a total of only Rs 34 crore till the fourth day. At the same time, Sunny Deol's action drama 'Jaat' has given a tough competition to 'Kesari 2' by collecting Rs 14 crore on the fourth day of its release.
After the trailer of the film was released, fans called 'Kesari Chapter 2' one of the best films of Akshay Kumar's career. Due to the emotional story, strong dialogues and patriotic spirit, it was highly appreciated on social media. Despite this, the film has failed to pull the audience to the theaters in the first four days.
'Jaat' wins at the box office
Sunny Deol's film 'Jaat' had a slow start, but gradually it picked up pace at the box office. While 'Kesari Chapter 2' collected 4.50 crores on the fourth day, 'Jaat' surprised everyone by earning 14 crores. This difference is almost 10 times, which is disappointing for Akshay Kumar's fans.
High budget, low earnings
Made in a budget of about Rs 150 crore, 'Kesari Chapter 2' will have to earn a lot to prove to be a hit. The earnings till now have not reached this level.
