"No regrets for Apurva Makheeja over the latest controversy!: When paparazzi asked – 'Do you feel it was a mistake?', she replied – 'What kind of question is that? I can’t tell the truth.'"
A case was filed against all those involved in the show "India's Got Latent"—including Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Apurva Makheeja, and Ashish Chanchlani—for making offensive remarks during the program.
Apurva Makheeja, who was caught up in the controversy, had earlier released an emotional video where she revealed that after the FIR was filed, both she and her family were subjected to humiliation and distress.
Recently, Apurva made her first public appearance since the controversy, but her awkward comments have once again stirred headlines.
She was spotted outside a restaurant when paparazzi asked her, "Do you feel any remorse for the mistake you made?" To this, Apurva responded,
"Sir, what kind of questions are these? I can’t speak the truth. I made a mistake, please forgive me."
Hearing this, one of the paparazzi replied, "Work hard, stay focused, and make a name for yourself."
To this, Apurva added, "Yes, yes, one should never use abusive language. No one should do that."
When asked how she views people’s negativity, Apurva responded,
"Sir, I’m not that deep of a person. I honestly haven’t even thought that much about the negativity. It’s okay, whatever happened, happened."
Apurva Had Apologized in Her First Vlog After the Controversy
Following the “Latent” controversy, Apurva Makheeja—popularly known as Rebel Kid—shared her first vlog in which she issued a public apology. In the video, she explained that she faced numerous challenges after the incident, which even led her to step away from social media for a while.
At the beginning of the YouTube video, Apurva talked about how she met Samay Raina and got involved in the show. She shared that appearing on India's Got Latent had been a dream of hers. However, when she didn’t hear back from Samay Raina for a long time, she began to feel disheartened and doubted whether she would be able to pursue what she truly wanted to do.
