Influencer Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, has been summoned by Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) in connection with a ₹252-crore drug trafficking case allegedly linked to absconding underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim. Officials confirmed that Orry has been asked to appear before investigators at the ANC’s Ghatkopar office on Wednesday for questioning.
The summons follows revelations made during the interrogation of Taher Dola, son of arrested drug trafficker Salim Dola, who was extradited from Dubai in August. According to reports, Taher told investigators that several Bollywood actors, models, rappers and associates of the D-Company attended drug-fuelled parties allegedly organised by him in India and abroad.
Statements recorded by agencies, as cited by PTI and India Today, claim that mephedrone was supplied at these gatherings. Among the individuals named in Taher’s account are actors Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor, influencer Orry, Nora Fatehi, filmmaker duo Abbas–Mastan, rapper Loca, and Zeeshan Siddique, son of former minister Baba Siddique. The allegations remain unverified and none of the individuals named have been charged at this stage.
Nora Fatehi issued a strong public statement after her name surfaced, dismissing the claims as false and asserting that she does not attend parties or associate with such circles. “I’m always working, travelling, or with my close friends. Please refrain from using my name in matters that have no connection to me,” she wrote, adding that she would not ignore the allegations this time.
Investigators are expected to question Orry on his association with individuals identified by Taher and his possible presence at events under scrutiny.
The ANC is continuing to expand its probe into the alleged trafficking network, examining links between domestic suppliers, overseas operatives, and high-profile attendees. Further summonses are likely as the investigation progresses.
