Prem Chopra Concerned About Dharmendra’s Health; Family Says Veteran Actor to Be Discharged Soon

Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra has been admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for a routine medical checkup, his family confirmed on Wednesday. The 88-year-old actor, who has been facing minor age-related issues and an infection, is reportedly in stable condition and expected to be discharged within the next couple of days

Chopra’s son-in-law and actor Vikas Bhalla said there is “absolutely nothing to worry about.” He explained, “He was admitted for a regular checkup after some age-related problems and a mild infection. Doctors conducted all necessary tests, and everything has come back normal. When I met him this morning, he was cheerful and in good spirits.”

Bhalla also dismissed ongoing speculation about Chopra’s health, emphasizing that “unnecessary rumours” are being circulated. “His tests are ongoing, and he will be discharged soon. He is perfectly fine,” Bhalla added.

However, amid his own hospital stay, Prem Chopra has expressed deep concern for his longtime friend and colleague Dharmendra, who was discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier on Wednesday morning. The 89-year-old “He-Man” of Bollywood had been receiving treatment for age-related complications and is now recovering at home under medical supervision.

Dr. Prateet Samdani, who has been treating Dharmendra, said the actor had been admitted and discharged several times over the past few weeks. “His condition is stable, and the family has decided that further care will be provided at home,” he confirmed.

Both Chopra and Dharmendra share a friendship spanning over six decades, having appeared together in several iconic Hindi films. With reassuring updates from both families, fans have expressed relief on social media, wishing the veteran stars continued good health and recovery.
