Superstar Salman Khan marked his 60th birthday on Saturday by releasing the gripping teaser for his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
The one-minute clip showcases Khan as a resolute Indian Army officer leading troops in the harsh, high-altitude terrain of Ladakh, capturing the raw intensity of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash with Chinese forces. He essays the role of Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, the martyred commander of the 16 Bihar Regiment.
Khan appears rugged and lean, delivering restrained ferocity amid snow-swept landscapes. The teaser features motivational voiceovers, slogans like “Jai Bajrang Bali” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and ends with a powerful stare-down, evoking goosebumps among viewers.
In a recent PTI interview, Khan described the film as his most physically demanding yet. “Shooting in Ladakh’s high altitudes and freezing water pushed my limits,” he said, noting extended training for combat sequences and endurance in extreme conditions.
Produced under Salman Khan Films, the movie also stars Chitrangada Singh in a key role. It is slated for theatrical release on April 17, 2026.

Speculation about cameos has been rife. Photos of Bachchan visiting the sets and reports of Govinda shooting sequences surfaced, but director Lakhia clarified earlier that Bachchan was not involved, and no official confirmation exists for Govinda.
Based on real events where Indian soldiers defended territory in brutal hand-to-hand combat without firearms, the film promises a tribute to sacrifice and patriotism. Fans hailed the teaser as Khan’s strong comeback vehicle after recent setbacks.
