S.S. Rajamouli Unveils Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Intense First Look as ‘Kumbha’ in Global Trotter

Ace filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli on Thursday unveiled the first look of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran from his upcoming epic Global Trotter, introducing him as the film’s menacing antagonist, Kumbha. The reveal came shortly after Rajamouli teased the announcement on social media, sparking massive anticipation among fans.

The striking still shows Prithviraj in an automated wheelchair, exuding authority and menace, his cold stare adding to the mystery surrounding his character. Sharing the image on X (formerly Twitter), Rajamouli wrote, “After canning the first shot with Prithvi, I walked up to him and said you are one of the finest actors I’ve ever known. Bringing life to this sinister, ruthless, powerful antagonist KUMBHA was creatively very satisfying. Thank you Prithvi for slipping into his chair… literally.”

The post immediately went viral, with fans flooding social media platforms with reactions. One user humorously commented, “Stephen Hawking biopic?” while another drew comparisons to Vivek Oberoi’s villainous role in Krrish 3, writing, “Looks like Krish 3 vibes! Can’t wait to see what you’ve created this time.” Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Aryan Kathuria also joined the buzz, responding with multiple fire emojis.

The film marks another ambitious outing for Rajamouli, known for redefining Indian cinema with blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR. Though plot details of Global Trotter remain tightly under wraps, early glimpses suggest a visually grand narrative driven by intense performances and intricate storytelling.

With Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying what Rajamouli describes as a “ruthless and powerful” antagonist, expectations are soaring. The makers are expected to unveil the rest of the star cast and a teaser in the coming weeks, as anticipation builds for one of India’s most awaited cinematic spectacles
