Three Men Fire 55 Rounds at Saga Music Office in Karnal: Police Probe CCTV Footage, Possible Extortion Angle

In a shocking incident early Wednesday morning, three unidentified men opened fire at the Saga Music Company office in Karnal, Haryana. The attackers, who arrived on two motorcycles, reportedly fired around 55 rounds before fleeing the scene. The firing took place around 5 AM, leaving the building’s walls and glass panels riddled with bullets.

Police teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident was reported. Forensic experts and senior officers, including SP Gangaram Poonia, DSP Rajiv, and Sadar Police Station in-charge Tarsem Singh, reached the site to begin an investigation.

Office Located in Residential Area

The office, owned by Sumit Singh, is situated in house number 1244, Alpha City, a gated residential locality. Residents said they were awakened by the sound of continuous gunfire in the early hours. Police have recovered several bullet casings, confirming the scale of the attack.

Officials are now questioning Sumit Singh to determine if he had received any threats or extortion calls prior to the shooting. Though no such link has been established yet, professional rivalry or intimidation are being explored as possible motives.

Attack Raises Questions Over Security

Alpha City is known for its strict security measures, with 24-hour guards posted at entry and exit gates. Despite this, the shooters managed to enter, fire multiple rounds, and escape without resistance. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from entry points and questioning security personnel and staff to find out how the attackers gained access and left undetected.

Forensic Examination Underway

A forensic team is examining the recovered bullet shells and analysing the trajectory of the shots to identify the weapons used. Police believe the attack was meant to create panic or send a message rather than harm a specific individual.

Authorities have stepped up patrolling and surveillance across the city and are tracking the movements of the two motorcycles captured on nearby CCTV cameras. While no arrests have been made yet, investigators say all angles, including extortion and business rivalry, are under scrutiny
