TIGERFIRE Vodka Is More Than a Premium Spirit; It’s a Story of Friendship, Says Hollywood producer Jay Patel

India’s premium spirits market has seen the entry of TIGERFIRE Vodka, a French-crafted label co-created by actor Sanjay Dutt and entrepreneur Paresh Ghelani. After building a presence in the United States across select retail and hospitality channels, the brand has now debuted in India, positioning itself around craftsmanship, design, and a story shaped by long-standing personal bonds.
Unlike many celebrity-backed liquor brands, TIGERFIRE has been developed as a founder-led project. According to people familiar with the brand,
Dutt spent close to four years working with master distillers in France to develop the liquid, drawing on themes of resilience, reinvention, and endurance that have defined his personal journey.
The origins of TIGERFIRE trace back nearly three decades to a friendship and a conversation about building something meaningful together.
What began as an informal idea between friends gradually evolved into a structured venture, driven by persistence rather than speed. Industry observers note that such long-gestation projects are rare in a category often driven by quick launches.
Paresh Ghelani, who has overseen the brand’s strategic foundation, believes India’s evolving premium consumer is increasingly drawn to products with global quality and authentic backstories.
Supporting the execution on the ground has been a core team, including Badal Moradia and Nitin Thesia, whose behind-the-scenes work in operations, coordination, and market preparation has played a key role in bringing the brand to launch.
TIGERFIRE’s identity is anchored in the philosophy “Never Give In,” reflected in both its narrative and visual design. Developed under the direction of global brand strategist Jason DeLand, the bottle features a black-and-rose-gold palette, intricate detailing inspired by Indian craftsmanship, and a tiger-eye motif modeled on Dutt’s own eyes.
Produced in France using 100% French winter pastry wheat and naturally limestone-filtered groundwater, the vodka undergoes triple distillation, triple charcoal filtration, and micro-oxygenation.
It has received a 95/100 rating from the Beverage Testing Institute and is described as having a peppery warmth, silky texture, and a subtle smoky finish. A long-standing relationship of trust and brotherhood with Sanjay Dutt and Paresh Ghelani connects Jay Patel to the TIGERFIRE journey.
