This transaction grants Dhingra full ownership and control of the company, with immediate effect. He will now lead as Promoter & Founder, positioning Dhishoom for accelerated growth in India’s dynamic cinema and entertainment sector.

The buyout marks a significant milestone in Dhingra’s journey of building a cinema brand dedicated to transforming underserved markets. Dhishoom Cinemas has carved a niche by delivering high-quality, immersive movie experiences at compelling value in Tier 2-4 cities, currently operating successful screens in Ayodhya, Budaun, Jhunjhunu, and Paonta Sahib. The company boasts an ambitious expansion pipeline, with new state-of-the-art cinemas slated to open soon in Ghazipur, Hisar, Bathinda, Jaunpur, Harda, Kannur, Faridabad, and several other high-potential locations.

With more than two decades of distinguished experience in the entertainment and hospitality sectors, Tushar Dhingra brings unparalleled expertise to this new chapter. He has held senior leadership positions at industry giants including PVR Cinemas (where he played a key role in brand architecture and cinema advertising), BIG Cinemas (as Chief Operating Officer, scaling operations across India and international markets), and Smaaash Entertainment (as CEO). Earlier in his career, he contributed significantly at Warner Bros. in theatrical distribution and pioneered the Hindi dubbing of English films to broaden audience reach in India. His professional foundation was laid in luxury hospitality with stints at ITC Maurya and the Taj Group of Hotels, followed by an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad.
