Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, aged 89, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, sparking concern among his fans. However, his team has clarified that the actor is stable and undergoing routine medical test.
According to a report by The Indian Express, Dharmendra’s visit is part of a regular health check-up, and there is no cause for alarm. His team confirmed that he is “doing fine” and receiving standard care and treatment.
Earlier this year, the legendary actor underwent corneal transplant surgery, after which he was seen leaving the hospital with a bandage on his eye—an image that had worried many of his fans.
On Friday night, journalist Vickey Lalwani reported on social media that Dharmendra was taken to the hospital due to breathlessness. News18 later cited an unnamed hospital source confirming that the actor was briefly in the ICU but is now stable, with normal vital signs—a heart rate of 70 and blood pressure of 140/80. The source assured, “There is nothing to worry about.”
A few weeks ago, Dharmendra was seen in a viral video after his eye surgery, telling the paparazzi with a smile, “Abhi mujh mein bahut dum hai” (“I still have a lot of strength in me”), reassuring fans of his resilience.
Dharmendra was last seen in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and earlier played a memorable role in Karan Johar’s 2023 film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
Fans across India have flooded social media with wishes for the beloved actor’s speedy recovery and good health.
