The renewed buzz follows months of dating speculation involving the two actors. Rumours first gained traction last year when Dhanush attended the premiere of Mrunal Thakur’s film Son of Sardaar 2 in August. Their public appearance together sparked conversations on social media, which intensified further after Mrunal was seen at the wrap-up party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishq.
Social media activity also drew attention, with fans noting that Mrunal follows Dhanush and his two sisters on Instagram. While such details added to the speculation, neither actor publicly acknowledged a romantic relationship.
Addressing the rumours earlier, Mrunal Thakur had categorically denied dating Dhanush. Speaking at a public event, she clarified that they share a cordial friendship and that Dhanush had attended the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere at the invitation of actor Ajay Devgn.
