“I know many of you have been waiting to meet me for a long time, and I have been equally eager,” Yash wrote. “Right now, my complete focus is on finishing Toxic so it reaches theatres as planned. I promise we will meet very soon and in a meaningful way.” He added that he continues to personally read messages and appreciate the support he receives.
The release of the Toxic teaser formed the centrepiece of the actor’s birthday celebrations. The brief glimpse, unveiled on January 8, features Yash emerging through dense smoke, hinting at a darker, stylised narrative. The film has been positioned as a departure from conventional commercial fare, with its subtitle signalling a more mature and unconventional storyline.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic brings together a high-profile ensemble cast. Kiara Advani plays a character named Nadia, while Huma Qureshi appears as Elizabeth. Nayanthara is set to portray Ganga, with Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth playing Rebecca and Melissa, respectively.
