Yuzvendra Chahal breaks silence: Cricketer calls it 'forgotten chapter'

Yuzvendra Chahal's ex-wife, influencer Dhanashree Verma, is currently a part of the reality show 'Rise and Fall'. Recently, she claimed that cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal cheated on her just 2 months after their marriage. After a long silence, Chahal has now reacted to this. He has clearly stated that Dhanashree's claim is baseless.

In an interview , Yuzvendra Chahal said-'I am a sportsperson and I don't cheat. If someone cheats in just two months, would such a long relationship last? For me, this chapter is over, done and dusted. I have moved on with my life, and everyone should do the same.'

The cricketer said, 'Our marriage lasted 4 and a half years. If there was cheating within two months, who would continue? I have said before that I have moved on from the past. But some people are still stuck there. Many people are still holding onto that thing. Their household is still running in my name, so they can continue to do so. It doesn't bother me, nor is it my problem. I also have feelings, I am talking about this chapter of my life for the last time.'

Yuzvendra Chahal said, 'I have forgotten this chapter. Anyone says anything and it goes viral on social media. A hundred things go around, but the truth is only one, and the people who matter know it. For me, this chapter is closed. I don't want to talk about it again, I am focusing on my life and my game.'

Notably, in an episode of the reality show Rise and Fall, Dhanashree Verma was heard telling actress Kubbra Sait that she had caught Yuzvendra Chahal cheating red-handed in the second month of their marriage.

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married in December 2020. Two years later, in June 2022, they separated, and in March 2025, they got divorced.
