Agricultural Exports Could Quadruple from ₹4.5 Lakh Crore: Piyush Goyal Outlines Key Conditions

Union Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India’s agricultural exports have the potential to grow four times from the current ₹4.5 lakh crore. He emphasized that this growth depends on improved infrastructure, value addition, and global market access.

 

According to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, India's agricultural exports (Agricultural export growth) are currently Rs 4.5 lakh crore, which can be increased to Rs 20 lakh crore. But for this, some steps need to be taken in areas like processing and packaging. He also gave important information about certification of organic products and drip irrigation.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that India's agricultural and fisheries exports (Agricultural export growth) have reached Rs 4.5 lakh crore. If food processing is strengthened and the quality of branding and packaging is improved, then agricultural exports (Agriculture exports) can reach Rs 20 lakh crore.

In a program, Goyal (Piyush Goyal statement) said that new products like litchi, pineapple, gourd and jamun have been included in India's agricultural exports, which were not traditionally exported. He told that jamun has recently been exported to England and litchi from Punjab to Doha and Dubai.
