Anant Goenka to be new FICCI President

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has appointed Anant Goenka as its President for the year 2025-26. This appointment was announced at the National Executive Committee meeting held in Srinagar on 14 October.
Currently, Goenka is the Senior Vice President of FICCI. He will replace Harshvardhan Agarwal. This responsibility will be handed over to him at the conclusion of FICCI's 98th Annual General Meeting, which will be held in New Delhi on 28-29 November, 2025.
Anant is the son of RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka. RPG Group is an Indian multinational group that deals in sectors like infrastructure, tires, IT and pharmaceuticals. This group was founded by Dr R P Goenka in 1979. Its major companies include KEC International, CEAT and Zensar Technologies.

Started career with CEAT Limited
Anant Goenka started his career with CEAT Limited in 2005. He began working as the head of the tire department. Then in 2012, he became the Managing Director of CEAT company. He worked in this position from 2012 to 2023.
During his tenure, CEAT company's market capitalisation increased 25 times. Later, CEAT became the first tire company in the world to win the Grand Deming Prize (2023).
Anant was honoured by Forbes as the 'Next Generation Business Leader of the Year' in 2017 and by Economic Times-Spencer Stuart as one of 'India's 40 Under-40 Business Leaders'.
FICCI was established in 1927
FICCI is India's largest and oldest trade and industry organisation, representing companies from both private and public sectors. FICCI was established in 1927. It was started by Ghanshyam Das Birla and Purushottam Das Thakurdas.
Every year a new president of FICCI is elected. This is India's apex business chamber.
