The online application process began on September 23, 2025, and will remain open until October 12, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through the official Apprenticeship portal, www.nats.education.gov.in.
Eligibility and Selection
To be eligible, candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The age limit for applicants is between 20 and 28 years as of September 1, 2025, with relaxations applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.
The selection process is streamlined and does not involve a written test. Candidates will be selected based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in their 12th standard (or equivalent diploma) examination. Shortlisted candidates will subsequently be called for document verification and a local language test.
Stipend and Training
Selected apprentices will undergo a one-year training period and receive a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000. The stipend will be paid in two parts: Rs.10,500 will be disbursed by Canara Bank, and the remaining Rs.4,500 will be credited by the Government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). It is important to note that apprentices are not eligible for other allowances such as house rent or travel during this period.
How to Apply
Candidates need to first register on the NATS portal with a complete profile. After registration, they can log in to fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee Rs.500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and nil for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
