According to the board, approximately 4.5 million students will appear for the 2026 exams. These exams will be conducted for 204 subjects at exam centers in India and 26 foreign countries.

The board also stated that this is a tentative datesheet. The final datesheet for the Class 10th and 12th board exams will be released after students receive the final list.
Exams will be held between February and April
The CBSE has released the tentative datesheet for the Class 10th and 12th board exams. The Class 10 board exams will be held from February 17 to March 18, and the Class 12 board exams will be held from February 17 to April 4, 2026. The following exams will be conducted by CBSE between February 17 and April 15, 2026.
