Disabled students will get free food in this DU college, they will have to do this to eat twice

Now disabled students will be able to have free breakfast and lunch in the canteen at Deshbandhu College of Delhi University. The canteen operator has taken this step to encourage the students. Students just have to show their identity card. On the demand of a student for concession, the operator made the food free for all the disabled. BA student Sunny Thakur will bear the cost of juice.

Disabled students studying in Deshbandhu College of Delhi University will now be able to have free breakfast and lunch in the college canteen.

The canteen operator has taken this initiative with the aim of motivating the disabled students of the college pursuing higher education to study and provide them financial assistance. To avail this facility, students will have to show the college identity card and they will be able to get free food.

In fact, a student had asked the canteen operator for concession in food for disabled students. Instead of giving concessions, the operator decided to make food free for all Divyang students. Students will be able to avail this facility from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday.

Canteen operator Rajendra Tomar says that I believe that God has made us capable, so we should do as much as we can for others. A student had asked for concession in the price of food. I have decided to give completely free food to all the Divyangs. For breakfast, you can have samosas, parathas, sandwiches along with tea and juice. In lunch, apart from chole-rice, rajma-rice, puri-vegetable, thali is also available.

BA student will contribute to canteen expenses

Sunny Thakur, a second year student of BA (Program) in the college, had asked the canteen operator to give some concession in food to Divyang students. Sunny told that a visually impaired friend used to say that he is not able to have breakfast in the morning due to the hurry to attend the first lecture.

He cannot even have breakfast in the canteen every day. Seeing his problem, he had asked for concession in the canteen. I will cooperate and bear the cost of juice for disabled students in the canteen.Chhavi Mittal (6)
