Government Job: AFCAT 2026 Application Deadline Extended to December 19

The Indian Air Force has extended the application deadline for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2026. Candidates can now submit their applications until December 19, 2025, instead of the earlier deadline of December 14. Eligible aspirants can apply through the official website afcat.cdac.in.

The AFCAT 2026 recruitment drive aims to fill 372 vacancies for the rank of Flying Officer (Lieutenant equivalent) and other commissioned officer posts across flying, ground duty (technical), and ground duty (non-technical) branches.

Total Marks: 300
Questions: 100 (objective type)
Duration: 2 hours
Subjects: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude
Negative Marking: One mark deducted for each incorrect answer

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed as Flying Officers with a starting pay of ₹56,100 per month, which can rise up to ₹2.5 lakh per month at the level of Chief of the Air Staff, depending on rank and years of service.
