RPSC Begins Exam for 98 Sub-Inspector (Telecom) Posts; 218 Centers Across Five Divisions

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) commenced the Sub-Inspector (Telecom) Recruitment Exam-2024 on Monday for 98 vacancies under the Home Department. The exam is being conducted in two shifts, with the first shift starting at 10 AM. Candidates were allowed entry after verification from 9 AM, under strict security protocols.

A total of 218 exam centers have been set up across five divisional headquarters – Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Bikaner – including 152 government and 66 private buildings. Approximately 67,757 candidates are registered for the exam. Considering the cold weather, candidates were permitted to wear warm clothing inside the centers.

Division-wise Exam Details:

  • Ajmer: 32 centers, 9,866 candidates

  • Bikaner: 17 centers, 4,623 candidates

  • Jaipur: 121 centers, 40,065 candidates

  • Jodhpur: 18 centers, 5,005 candidates

  • Udaipur: 30 centers, 8,198 candidates

Entry Requirements:
Candidates were required to carry their original Aadhar card (color print) for verification. In case of an old or unclear Aadhar photo, other valid photo IDs such as Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License were accepted. It was mandatory for the admit card to bear a recent color photograph. No candidate was allowed entry without proper identification.

Strict Advisory from RPSC:
The Commission warned candidates against falling prey to brokers or middlemen offering guarantees or illicit favors. Any such attempts should be reported immediately to the RPSC control room at 0145-2635200, 2635212, or 2635255 with evidence.

RPSC reminded candidates that use of unfair means or involvement in fraudulent acts during the exam could result in life imprisonment, fines up to ₹10 crore, and seizure of movable and immovable property under the Rajasthan Public Examination Act, 2022.
