Government Job: Sports Authority of India Invites Applications for Chief Coach Posts

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced recruitment for the post of Chief Coach. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, sportsauthorityofindia.gov.in. The appointment will be made for a period of one year or until the candidate attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, as per SAI norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should be officers currently working in or having served with the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations (including attached or subordinate offices), Public Sector Undertakings, autonomous or statutory organisations, universities, or education and research institutions, and should be in their original cadre or post.

Alternatively, sportspersons who are Olympic or World Championship medal winners, two-time Olympic participants, or recipients of the Dronacharya Award are also eligible to apply. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of three years of coaching experience in sports from a government body, recognised institution, or private organisation.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in two stages:

  • Shortlisting of applications

  • Personal interview

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applying is 64 years.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Level-12 of the pay matrix, with a monthly salary ranging from ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200.

  2. Click on the “Apply Online Jobs” link on the homepage.

  3. On the new page, select “Click here to Apply Online” against the relevant recruitment notification.

  4. Register as a new user and log in using the generated credentials.

  5. Complete the application form and submit it online.

  6. Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
