India Post GDS Online Form 2026 Released – Apply for 28,740 Gramin Dak Sevak Posts

The Department of Posts, India Post, has officially started the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Form 2026, opening a major recruitment drive for 28,740 vacancies across the country. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official GDS portal.

The application process began on 31 January 2026 and will continue until 14 February 2026. Candidates must complete registration and form submission within these dates. The last date for fee payment is 16 February 2026, and a correction window for application updates will be available from 18–19 February 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board with compulsory subjects including Mathematics and English. Knowledge of the local language of the postal circle applied for is also required. The age range generally falls between 18 and 40 years, with relaxations for reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection for the GDS posts will be based on merit determined by Class 10 marks, with no written examination. A merit list is expected to be released around the end of February 2026.

This recruitment includes posts such as Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in various postal circles across India.
