The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has announced an exciting recruitment drive for 225 Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Medical Officer (MO) positions across the Army.
Vacancy Details,Total Positions: 225, Male Candidates: 169, Female Candidates: 56
Educational Requirements, Minimum Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
Additional Credentials: Permanent medical registration from a State Medical Council or National Medical Commission (NMC) may be required as per official norms.
Age Criteria, Candidates must be no older than 30 years for MBBS degree holders as of 31 December 2025.
Those with postgraduate degrees may be eligible up to 35 years of age, subject to further details in the official notification .
Application Fee, A uniform fee of Rs.200 is applicable for all categories including General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PWD candidates .
The pay scale ranges fromRs.61,300 toRs.1,20,900 per month, complemented by various allowances such as MSP (Military Service Pay), HRA, DA, and more.
Selection Process, The multiple-stage selection includes:
