NTA Releases JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Admit Cards; Candidates Asked to Download from Official Portal

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for JEE Main 2026 Session 1, enabling registered candidates to download their hall tickets ahead of the examination scheduled later this month. The admit cards are available on the official NTA JEE website, and candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth to access the document.

The release of the admit card marks a crucial step in the examination process, confirming candidates’ allotted exam dates, shifts, centres, and reporting times. Entry to the examination hall will be permitted only with a valid admit card and an approved photo identity proof.

The admit cards were issued on Tuesday, weeks before the Session 1 exams, which will be conducted across multiple cities in India and select international centres in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

Lakhs of engineering aspirants appearing for JEE Main 2026—an essential gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions—are required to download and verify their admit cards promptly.

NTA has advised candidates to carefully check all details printed on the admit card, including name, photograph, signature, subject paper, and exam centre address. Any discrepancy must be reported immediately through the official helpdesk to avoid last-minute issues.

How to download: Candidates can visit the official JEE Main website, click on the “Download Admit Card” link, enter login credentials, and save a copy for future reference. It is recommended to print multiple copies of the admit card and read the exam-day instructions thoroughly.

NTA has reiterated that electronic devices, study material, and prohibited items will not be allowed inside exam centres. Candidates are also advised to reach their centres well before reporting time to complete security checks smoothly.

The agency is expected to release the answer key and response sheets after the completion of Session 1, followed by the result declaration as per the announced schedule.
