Online Learning: BHU Launches 63 New Free Courses for 2025, Registration Begins

Under the BHU Free Course Swayam 2025 initiative, 63 new free online courses have been launched. Students can study from IIT and Central University professors while sitting at home. The registration process for these courses has already started.
BHU Free Course Swayam: If you want to study from the top professors of the country while sitting at home, this is a great opportunity for you. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is launching 63 new free online courses for 2025. These courses are being offered under the Government of India’s SWAYAM initiative, and students will not have to pay any fees to enroll.
Classes Begin in July and August, Registration Open (swayam.gov.in registration)
The classes for these courses will begin on July 21 and August 18. Students or professionals interested in joining these courses can register now by visiting the official website: swayam.gov.in/INI.
Opportunity to Learn from India’s Top Professors
These BHU-designed courses cover subjects like Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, Law, Psychology, Ayurveda, and Life Sciences. The courses are available in 4-week, 8-week, and 12-week formats. All classes will be taught by experienced professors from across the country.
BHU Appointed as National Coordinator, to Oversee All INIs
BHU has now been appointed as the National Coordinator on the SWAYAM platform for managing online courses from over 160 Institutes of National Importance (INIs) such as IITs, NITs, and Central Universities. BHU will now handle the quality, content, and administrative support for MOOC courses offered by these institutions.
Professor Ashutosh Mohan Appointed as National Coordinator
Dr. Ashutosh Mohan, a faculty member at the Institute of Management Studies, BHU, has been appointed as the National Coordinator for SWAYAM. Under his leadership, BHU will now guide the nation in the field of digital education.
BHU Launches Its Own News Portal
BHU has also recently launched a new digital news portal: news.bhu.ac.in, where all university initiatives, achievements, student welfare programs, and videos will be available in one place.
