Rajasthan SI Recruitment 2025 Likely in Two-Day Format With Heightened Security Measures

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to hold the Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment-2025 exam on April 5, 2026, with significant changes aimed at preventing paper leaks and dummy candidates. Unlike the previous SI exam in 2021, which was canceled due to widespread malpractice, the upcoming exam is proposed to be conducted over two days instead of three, with two shifts per day.

Approximately 7.75 lakh candidates have applied for the recruitment. Ashutosh Gupta, Chief Examination Controller of RPSC, emphasized that “major changes have been implemented in this recruitment to enhance security, eliminate the possibility of paper leaks, and curb dummy candidates.”

Key Changes and Security Measures:

  • Early Paper Arrival: Examination papers will reach centers half an hour before the scheduled time, stored in digitally locked metal boxes. The process will be under continuous videography until distribution.

  • Candidate Entry: Candidates will be allowed entry one hour prior to the exam, further reducing risks of malpractice.

  • Live Photo Capture: A live photo will be captured during the one-time registration process and matched with exam attendance to prevent impersonation.

  • Handwriting Verification: Candidates will provide a handwritten sample with signature and thumb impression in front of the examiner.

  • Enhanced Admit Cards: Admit cards will include a watermark and QR code to prevent tampering.

  • OMR Sheet Updates: A fifth option has been added to OMR sheets; failure to select it will result in disqualification.

  • Interview Token System: Candidates will be assigned interview boards through a token system, ensuring anonymity.

  • Large-Size Photos: Attendance sheets will feature large photos and fingerprints for added verification.

The reforms follow the controversial SI Recruitment-2021, which was canceled by the Rajasthan High Court on August 28, 2025, after six RPSC officials were implicated in paper leaks. Former RPSC member Ramuram Raika, his children, and others, including the former CM Ashok Gehlot’s PSO and his son, were arrested in connection with the case.

RPSC aims to restore credibility and transparency in the recruitment process, incorporating lessons from past failures while ensuring a secure environment for candidates.

Candidates are advised to check official notifications for updated instructions on reporting time, examination centers, and documentation requirements.
