The application process for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025 will begin with a notification issued in November. Candidates should begin their preparations now to succeed in this recruitment. Only 10th-grade candidates will be eligible to apply for the Constable GD position. Details of the positions will be shared with the notification.

The State Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the tentative application dates for the Constable GD Recruitment 2026 through a notification. According to the notification, applications for SSC GD Constable positions will begin in November 2025. Candidates interested in this recruitment should begin their preparations so they can perform well in the exam and fulfill their dream of securing a government job.

Who can participate in the GD Constable Recruitment?
To apply for the SSC GD Constable position, candidates must have passed the 10th or Matriculation examination from a recognized board/institute. Additionally, candidates must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 23 years of age. Candidates from the ST/SC category will be given a 5-year age relaxation, while those from the OBC category will be given a 3-year age relaxation.

Physical Standards
To participate in this recruitment, male candidates must have a minimum height of 170 cm and female candidates 157 cm. Candidates from reserved categories/areas are exempted as per rules. You can check the details of height and chest measurements by category in the image below.

Selection Procedure
To be selected for the SSC GD Constable position, candidates must first appear in a written examination. The written test will be conducted in a computer-based format, consisting of a total of 80 questions. The time allotted for completing the question paper will be 1 hour (60 minutes). The question paper will include questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and Hindi/English. 20 questions will be asked from each subject.

2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. Please note that negative marking is also provided in the exam; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Physical Test
Candidates who meet the cutoff in the written test will be considered qualified for the physical test. In the PET test, male candidates will be required to complete a 5-kilometer run in 24 minutes. Additionally, female candidates will be required to complete a 1.6-kilometer run in 8.5 minutes.
