Vacant Seats in Jharkhand Engineering Colleges

Due to vacant seats in engineering colleges across Jharkhand, the admission deadline has been extended. Students now have the opportunity to secure admission until the revised final date.
After enrollment through the first counseling, 347 seats remained vacant in various branches of BIT, Sindri. Along with this, a large number of seats remained vacant in other government, PPP mode operated and private engineering colleges. Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board has started the process of second counseling to fill the said seats.
Under the second online counseling, candidates will be able to fill the seat option till July 17. Changes can be made in it till July 18. The board will make provisional allocation of seats from July 21 to July 26 and during this time enrollment will be done in the allotted institutions.
Let us tell you that if seats remain vacant after enrollment through the second counseling, then they will be filled through the third counseling. The board has also fixed its dates. Even after this, if the seats remain vacant, then special counseling can be organized. Earlier, the council has published the state merit list for admission through second counseling.
Let us tell you that admission in engineering colleges is being taken from the state merit list prepared on the basis of JEE Mains marks in BE and BTech. Only those candidates are included in the state merit list who have passed the JEE Mains exam and have registered online with the council to participate in it.
For the first time, admission is also being done in Bokaro and Godda engineering colleges.
Admission is also being taken in engineering colleges established by the state government in Bokaro and Godda. These institutes are recognized by AICTE. Currently, admission is being taken in BIT, Sindri campus for both the colleges. In these colleges too, after the first counseling, a large number of seats have remained vacant.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has allotted seats for admission in government and non-government polytechnic and diploma institutes from the first counselling. These include all polytechnic institutes run by the Higher and Technical Education Department and government tool rooms run by the Industries Department.
