Comedy franchise Dhamaal returns with its fourth instalment on Netflix. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi, bringing back the familiar characters for another chaotic treasure hunt.
The story revolves around a hidden fortune and a map divided into several pieces. The characters head towards a mysterious island, where their search for the treasure leads to a series of comic situations, misunderstandings and chases.
Dhamaal 4 starts streaming on Netflix on September 4.
Mayday Arrives On Apple TV+
For viewers looking for Hollywood action and comedy, Mayday is another major Friday release. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Kenneth Branagh and Maria Bakalova.
Set during the Cold War, the story follows US Navy pilot Troy Kelly after a secret surveillance mission goes wrong. Stranded behind enemy lines, he unexpectedly receives help from former KGB agent Nikolai Ustinov.
The unlikely partnership forms the centre of the film as the two men attempt to survive and find a way home while Soviet forces close in. Mayday begins streaming on Apple TV+ on September 4.
South Indian Films To Watch
Several regional releases make Friday particularly important for South Indian cinema fans. Malayalam psychological thriller Unmadham, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, arrives on SonyLIV.
The film follows a police officer who becomes involved in an unresolved case. As the investigation develops, disturbing experiences begin to blur the distinction between reality and delusion.
Meanwhile, Telugu musical drama Jagamae Sangeetham premieres on Amazon Prime Video. The story follows Balu, a young man connected to a Carnatic music family, whose relationship with a pop singer brings family expectations, old rivalries and questions about tradition into focus. Both titles release on September 4.
The Court Brings Legal Drama
Tamil courtroom drama The Court is also streaming on September 4 on JioHotstar. The film centres on Yazhini, a young lawyer with a stammer who faces a major professional and personal challenge when she finds herself opposing her accomplished father in court.
The story combines courtroom conflict with themes of self-confidence, prejudice and the struggle to establish one's own identity.
