Hollywood star Will Smith is reportedly in talks to play a key antagonist in Atlee’s sci-fi epic Raaka, while Shah Rukh Khan is also said to be joining the film for a cameo.

Allu Arjun’s upcoming sci-fi action film Raaka is generating fresh buzz with reports of two major international and Bollywood stars joining its ambitious cast. Hollywood actor Will Smith is reportedly expected to appear in the film, while Shah Rukh Khan is said to have agreed to a cameo. However, the makers have not yet officially confirmed either development.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Will Smith has been approached for a major antagonist role opposite Allu Arjun. Discussions between the Hollywood star and the makers have reportedly continued for around a year.

The report claims that Smith could shoot his portions during an overseas schedule after September. His dates are reportedly being worked out, while the international location is expected to be finalised according to his availability.

Overseas Shoot Planned

The reported international schedule could become one of the film’s major production phases. A source cited by Mid-Day said Smith’s costumes have already been finalised and that the team is preparing for the next leg of filming.

However, neither Smith nor the production house has publicly announced his casting. Other entertainment reports have also described the development as a report or ongoing discussion rather than a confirmed casting announcement.

Shah Rukh Khan Cameo

Adding to the excitement, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to make a cameo in Raaka. Earlier reports about his involvement had been denied, creating uncertainty over whether the Bollywood superstar would actually appear in the film.

A fresh Mid-Day report now claims that Khan is expected to shoot his portions after September. The report further states that he could also be part of the international schedule at some point.

Atlee Reunites With SRK

The reported cameo would mark another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee. The filmmaker previously directed Khan in the 2023 blockbuster Jawan, which became a major commercial success.

Atlee is now attempting a much larger sci-fi spectacle with Allu Arjun in the lead. The possibility of bringing together Arjun, Khan and Smith has consequently added considerable attention to the project.

Raaka, previously known by its working title AA22xA6, is directed by Atlee and stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. Deepika Padukone is also part of the principal cast.

The visual has fuelled speculation about the film’s fantasy and sci-fi elements. Reports have also described the story as involving different timelines and a large-scale visual-effects component.

The reported addition of Will Smith and Shah Rukh Khan would further expand an already high-profile project. Other names linked to the film include Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, although details surrounding some of these reported roles remain subject to official confirmation.
