Trump on Israeli Attack in Qatar

Donald Trump said, “This was not my decision,” regarding the Israeli strike in Qatar.

 

On the air strike carried out by Israel in Doha, US President Donald Trump said that this decision was of Netanyahu, not mine. He wrote on social media that Israel targeted Hamas leaders who were in the capital of Qatar. Trump described Qatar as a close friend of America and said that he has asked his ambassador to inform Qatar.

Israel on Tuesday dropped bombs from the sky in Doha, Qatar. In this attack, Israel targeted top Hamas leaders. Qatar has also expressed displeasure over this attack. At the same time, now US President Donald Trump has also broken his silence on this and said that it was not my decision.

Trump shared the social media platform Truth Post and said that the decision to bomb Qatar was of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, not mine. I want the Gaza war to end now.

What did Trump say?

Trump wrote in his post, "The US military has revealed that Israel has attacked Hamas leaders. Unfortunately, all those leaders were present in Doha, the capital of Qatar. This was PM Benjamin Netanyahu's decision, not mine." Trump said- Qatar is a close friend of America. We respect the integrity of Qatar, but it is also necessary to eliminate Hamas. I have immediately ordered my ambassador Steve Witkoff to inform Qatar before taking any such action in future. Qatar is our friend, so I felt very bad to hear about the place of attack. According to Trump, "I have spoken to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone. Netanyahu says he wants peace. I have also spoken to the Emir and Prime Minister of Qatar." White House reacted White House official said that Israel had already informed America about this attack. US President Donald Trump believes that Israel's attack on Hamas bases in Qatar was unfortunate. He has instructed his top aide Steve Witcalf to warn Qatar that an attack is about to happen.

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said that Trump spoke to both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Emir of Qatar after the attacks. He assured Qatar that such an incident would not happen again.

Qatar expressed displeasure

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani told Trump on the phone that Qatar would take all necessary steps to protect its security and sovereignty. Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said that reports of Qatar receiving advance information about the Israeli attack on Doha are false. Meanwhile, Qatar told the United Nations Security Council that the ongoing disruption in regional security will not be tolerated. A high-level investigation is underway.

5 Hamas leaders killed

Hamas has claimed that five people, including the son of Hamas' exiled Gaza chief Khalil al-Haya, have been killed in this attack. Khalil is Gaza's exiled chief and top negotiator. Hamas also said that Israel had failed in its attempt to assassinate the ceasefire negotiation team.
