According to the German Research Center for Geosciences, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers, while USGS said its intensity was 7.4 magnitude and depth was 39.5 kilometers. In the last few days, earthquake tremors are being felt continuously in this part of Russia.
Strong earthquake tremors have been felt in Russia once again. An earthquake struck Russia's Kamchatka region on Saturday, whose magnitude was recorded at 7.1. The earthquake created panic among people.
According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) below the ground.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) claims the quake had a magnitude of 7.4 and struck at a depth of 39.5 kilometres (24.5 miles) underground.
Tsunami threat
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning System, the quake has raised the risk of a strong tsunami in the area. However, no tsunami alert has been issued in Japan, which is near Kamchatka.
