Reports say Pakistan has started reconstructing the Markaz Taiba complex in Muridke—destroyed in India’s Operation Sindoor—using government funds amounting to several crores. The move includes demolishing the damaged structures and clearing debris, ahead of a planned reopening by February 2026.
In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army had launched Operation Sindoor in which Markaz Taiba, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba located in Muridke, Pakistan, was destroyed. According to intelligence agencies, Pakistan is now planning to rebuild this terrorist base. For this, the Pak government has also given assistance of crores of rupees.
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army had launched Operation Sindoor in Pakistan. On the night of May 7, the Indian Army wreaked havoc across the border, the marks of which are still present on the soil of Pakistan. During Operation Sindoor, Markaz Taiba, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) located in Muridke, Punjab, was also razed to the ground. At the same time, Pakistan is now planning to rebuild it.
According to the dossier of Indian intelligence agencies, Pakistan is preparing to renovate the terror base. Last month, many big machines have reached Muridke to build Markaz Taiba.
On the night of 7 May, at around 12:35, Mirage fighter planes of the Indian Army crossed the border and dropped missiles in Muridke. Markaz Taiba was also razed to the ground in this attack. Not only were terrorists trained in this building, but a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were also stored.
Intelligence information came to the fore
According to the NDTV report, on August 18, many large machines have been sent to Markaz Taiba located in Muridke. On September 4, the yellow block named Umm ul Qura was also demolished and just three days later the red building was demolished.
What is Pakistan's plan?
On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, 2026, the new headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba may be inaugurated in Muridke. According to intelligence information, the target has been set to rebuild this building before February. After the inauguration, this complex will be used to train terrorists, brainwash them and carry out terrorist activities.
Markaz Taiba's director Maulana Abu Jar along with Ustad ul Mujahideen have been given the responsibility of rebuilding the Markaz. Apart from this, Commander Yunus Bukhari has been assigned the task of operational inspection. The government of Pakistan is also playing an important role in this renovation.
Pakistan government gave crores of rupees
According to intelligence information, in August, the Pakistani government had helped Lashkar-e-Taiba with Rs 4 crore. At the same time, about Rs 15 crore will be required to fully prepare the Markaz. This act of the Pakistani government exposes its double standards.
Flood conditions prevail in many areas of Pakistan. In such a situation, Lashkar-e-Taiba is taking the help of floods to raise funds. Lashkar is raising huge amounts of money in the name of providing relief to the people in the flood. Most of the money received for flood relief is sent to Muridke.
Lashkar's trick
However, this is not the first time that Lashkar is playing a trick in the name of humanitarian aid. Earlier in 2005, there was an earthquake in Pakistan. In the name of helping the disaster victims, Lashkar collected billions of dollars and kept 80 percent of it for itself. Investigation revealed that with this money, Lashkar built its headquarters in Muridke and Markaz Abbas in Kotli.
