Suspected of being a Chinese intelligence agent
The accused were accused of being in contact with each other and a person suspected of being a Chinese intelligence agent. The men were to be tried at London's Central Criminal Court next month, but prosecutors said on Monday that the case could not proceed.
The Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement that the evidence in the case is being continuously reviewed and it has now been determined that the evidence for the alleged crime is insufficient. No further evidence will be presented.
