This incident of emergency landing took place at around 11:30 am (local time), after which the runway at the airport was closed for 20 minutes, causing delays in some flights.
Second case of emergency of F-35B
This is the second case of a malfunction in the British F-35B fighter jet in recent days. Earlier on June 14, an F-35B fighter jet flying from Britain to Australia had to make an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala after it suffered a hydraulic failure.
This F-35B fighter jet, parked at the airport in Thiruvananthapuram after suffering a hydraulic failure, remained in Kerala for 5 weeks before getting the final approval to fly to Britain.
