Earthquake: 6.2 magnitude earthquake hits Greece, tremors felt till Turkey; people flee from their homes in panic

The intensity of the earthquake was measured 6.2 on the Richter scale. According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the depth of the earthquake was 68 kilometers. Greece shares its border with Turkey, so there is a possibility of massive destruction in Turkey. This earthquake was recorded at 3:17 am UAE time in the south-west region of Turkey.

Earthquakes keep happening in Turkey every second month and this area is considered one of the most dangerous places for earthquakes. According to data from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), more than 33,000 earthquakes were recorded in 2020 alone, of which 322 had a magnitude of more than 4.0.
