New Delhi. US President Donald Trump has announced to celebrate May 8 as Victory Day in America and has declared this date as Vijay Diwas. Actually, Trump has taken this decision on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of America's victory during the Second World War.

Trump has officially named May 8 as Victory Day. With this announcement, President Trump wished all the American people on this day and remembered the people who sacrificed during the Second World War.

Referring to the Second World War, Trump said, "America has never been involved in celebrations and the victory was achieved mostly because of us. Whether you like it or not, we joined that war and we won that war and we had a lot of help from many great people and great allies. But I think there will be no one who will say that we were not the dominant power in that war."
