Trump also announced tariffs on Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Moldova and the Philippines. The President of Brazil has reacted to Trump's move.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced heavy tariffs on several countries at once. Trump imposed a direct tariff of 50 percent on Brazil along with other countries, calling it the toughest action so far.

Trump first announced tariffs on Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Moldova and the Philippines. All these tariffs will come into effect from August 1. After Trump imposed heavy tariffs, the President of Brazil has also given his reaction.
