Maharashtra Cyber officials attribute these coordinated attempts to Islamist hacking groups, suggesting a deliberate cyber warfare campaign. Authorities have successfully thwarted many of these attacks, emphasizing the need for heightened cybersecurity vigilance.

Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra Cyber ​​Department, Yashasvi Yadav said, "There have been more than 1 million cyber attacks on India after the Pahalgam attack. He said that these attacks targeted by Indian websites and portals were carried out from Pakistan, Middle East, Indonesia and Morocco.

He said that many hacking groups claimed to be an Islamist group. He said that it could probably be a cyber war. The official said that Maharashtra Cyber ​​thwarted many of these attacks.
