Pak Defence Minister asks Afghans to leave the country

Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has once again launched a sharp attack on Afghanistan. During an interview, he said that all Afghans living in Pakistan will have to return to their country. He said that the era of old relations with Afghanistan is over.

Asif said, 'Afghanistan and India have an old relationship. But their relations with us have never been good. Despite this, millions of people have taken refuge on our land. If they have such good relations with India, then why don't the Afghans living here shift to India?'

Asif further said, 'Why should Pakistan bear their burden? We do not have enough resources for our own people. We were never friends, yet we fulfilled our duty as neighbors. Let India raise them, why doesn't it?'

Our relations with Afghanistan are not good: Asif

On the question of whether Pakistan would give some concession to women and girls who do not want to return, who fear the Taliban. On this, Asif said, our relations with Afghanistan were not good even before the Taliban rule.

He said, 'These people did not return even at that time. If the government changes there, why should Pakistan bear the brunt of it?' However, he did not directly say anything about women and girls.

Taliban's decisions are being made from Delhi: Pakistani Defence Minister

Earlier on Thursday, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused India, stating that the Taliban's decisions are being made from Delhi. He had accused Afghanistan of fighting a proxy war for India.

In a conversation with Geo News, Asif had said about the ceasefire with the Taliban, 'The Afghan Taliban is receiving cooperation from Delhi.'

He warned that if Pakistan was provoked, military action would be taken. Asif said that we have full capacity to respond. If they expand the scope of the war, we will attack. But we are also ready for talks.
