Pakistan’s Defence Minister expresses concerns over ‘Operation Sindoor’: Khawaja Asif says Modi is ending possibilities of peace

The controversy started after PM Modi posted on X calling India’s victory in the Asia Cup “Operation Sindoor” on the sports field. In response, Asif reacted on X, saying that the 6-0 war score between Pakistan and India has been recorded forever.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused PM Modi of closing the door on dialogue to save his own political image. He said that by destroying the culture of cricket and the spirit of the game, Modi is eliminating opportunities for peace and problem-solving.
He added-
‘’We are saying nothing, but Modi has had to face embarrassment both in India and globally. True honour is given only by Allah.’’

On Sunday, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Asia Cup final, claiming the title for the ninth time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian team.
Pakistan PM calls India an enemy
On September 26, Pakistan’sHe claimed that Pakistan had emerged victorious in a conflict with India, asserting that seven Indian aircraft were shot down.
He also criticised India over the Pahalgam attack, saying Pakistan had called for an impartial international investigation, which India rejected and allegedly politicised. He described India’s radical Hindutva ideology as a serious threat to the world.
He reminded the UN that Pakistan had warned last year it would not tolerate external attacks, claiming that Pakistan’s warning was validated by an unprovoked attack in May this year.
