Pakistani Major in Abhinandan Case Killed by TTP

A Pakistani Major who had claimed involvement in capturing Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan was killed in a Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attack in Waziristan, highlighting rising militant violence in the region.

 
 

Pakistani Army Major Muiz Abbas Shah was killed in an attack by TTP fighters. He was the same officer who 'arrested' Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman in Pakistan after the Balakot airstrike in 2019. According to the Pakistani Army, Major Shah was killed during an operation in which 11 TTP fighters were also killed.

Pakistan Army Major Muiz Abbas Shah was killed in an attack by TTP fighters. Lance Naik Jibran of the Pak Army was also killed in this attack.

Major Muiz Abbas 'arrested' India's Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman in Pakistan in 2019. This arrest was made when Abhinandan's plane crashed in Pakistan and he was injured. Major Muiz then made a lot of headlines by claiming the arrest, but India had to kneel down to Pakistan and sent Wing Commander Abhinandan back safely.
