Monsoon remained active across Madhya Pradesh, bringing widespread rainfall to more than 35 districts over the past 24 hours. Narmadapuram recorded the highest rainfall at 4.2 inches, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in several districts over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday strongly defended the Mumbai-Pune Missing Link Expressway project in the state Assembly, rejecting allegations of corruption and poor construction following a recent landslide on the route.
