PM Modi to Inaugurate 'Kartavya Bhawan' Today

As part of the Central Vista Project, PM Modi will inaugurate 'Kartavya Bhawan' today. Key ministries including the Home Ministry will now operate under one roof, enhancing administrative efficiency.

Prime Minister Modi (PM Narendra Modi) will inaugurate Kartavya Bhawan located on Kartavya Path in Delhi today. All the ministries and departments of the Central Government, which are currently spread across various buildings, will soon be housed in the new Kartavya Bhawans being built on both sides of Kartavya Path. Under the Central Vista Project, offices of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Rural Development, MSME, Petroleum Ministry and many other key ministries will be set up in this new building.

The construction of Kartavya Bhawan-3 has been completed, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 6 at 12.15 pm. Along with this, he will also address a public meeting at Kartavya Path at 6 pm, in which officers and employees of the ministries will also be present.

Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar informed that earlier the buildings of the ministries were built in a disorganized manner, whereas now Central Vista is being developed under an organized and modern plan. So far three duty buildings have been completed under this project, and a total of ten buildings will be constructed.

In response to a question, the Union Minister said that the need for new and modern buildings of the ministries was felt because the existing buildings were built between 1950 and 1970 and have now become old. The annual maintenance of these buildings has become very expensive. At present, the central government has about 55 ministries and 93 departments, including North and South Blocks as well as Krishi Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Industries and Nirman Bhawan.

A total of seven departments including Home and Foreign Ministry will shift to Kartavya Bhawan-3

The newly constructed Kartavya Bhawan-3 has been given space to many important ministries, including Home Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Rural Development Ministry, MSME Ministry, Ministry of Personnel and Training Affairs, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor.

The Finance Ministry will be shifted to Kartavya Bhawan-1, which will be ready by next month. A printing press is also being set up in this building, so that the Finance Ministry can publish its budget itself. Keeping this requirement in mind, the required space has already been allocated.

When the construction of the Kartavya Bhawans is completed, all the ministries located in the North and South Blocks will be shifted from there. After this, both the blocks will be vacated and Yuge-Yugine Bharat Museum will be established in them.
