Lance Naik Dinesh Sharma of Mohammadpur village in Palwal district of Haryana was martyred during the Indian Army's air strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan. On hearing the news of his martyrdom, a wave of mourning ran through the entire village, and people started gathering to console his family. The martyr's father Dayachand Sharma told with tears that he had five sons, three of whom are still serving in the army, and Dinesh was the eldest.

Dinesh Sharma was posted in Artillery Division 5 Medium and died during treatment after being injured in enemy firing. Dinesh's wife is a lawyer by profession and they also have two young children.
Pushpendra, Dinesh Sharma's younger brother, said that he had a conversation with his brother two days ago, in which Dinesh had asked about the well-being of the family members. Dinesh's close friend Pradeep informed that when Dinesh was going for the operation at 10:30 pm, he talked on the phone and told that he was ready for the operation. Pradeep also said that he suggested to disconnect the call because the light of the phone could cause trouble during the operation, and promised to talk later.
After this, Dinesh's call came at 3 am, but we could not pick it up. At 7 am we called Dinesh back, then his colleague picked up the phone and told that Dinesh Sharma has been injured in the blast. He has been injured and has been brought to the hospital for treatment. After this we got the information of Dinesh's sacrifice.
The body is being transported by road
Bhoopraam Pathak, Sarpanch of Mohammadpur village in Palwal district, said that when the army informed Dinesh Sharma's family about his martyrdom, a wave of mourning ran through the entire village. He said that due to the ban on the movement of civilians in Kashmir and the war-like situation, Dinesh Sharma's body could not be brought by air. Army personnel are moving his body towards the village by road, and it is expected that the body will reach the village by Thursday afternoon. Palwal district DC Harish Vashisht also confirmed that the martyr's body will reach his native village Mohammadpur by Thursday afternoon, where he will be cremated with full state honors.
