Kejriwal Targets PM Modi Over Foreign Travel Appeal

Arvind Kejriwal taunted PM Modi, saying he should first refrain from foreign flights himself, responding to the PM’s recent travel appeal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently appealed to promote the purchase and sale of indigenous products. His message is that people should only purchase goods produced by Indians. This initiative is aimed at promoting 'Make in India' and local industries. However, following this appeal, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal criticized the Prime Minister. He said that Modi should first adopt indigenous products himself and then expect others to do the same. Kejriwal argued that leaders' personal behavior and their message should be consistent to instill trust in the public.

Kejriwal directly stated that PM Modi should first inspire the public by his own example, abandoning the foreign ships and other foreign goods he uses daily. He argued that leaders' personal behavior and their message should be consistent, otherwise the credibility of the message may be questioned among the public.

Arvind Kejriwal also told PM Modi that the appeal to adopt indigenous products should not be limited to words but should be accompanied by action. He cited the example of four American companies operating in India that should be shut down because, according to him, US President Trump is insulting India and Indians.

Kejriwal argues that the public expects real action from their Prime Minister, not mere rhetoric and appeals. His message is clear: leaders must maintain a balance between their message and their actions, only then will the public be inspired.
