PM Modi Inaugurates Rs 5,125 Crore Projects in Itanagar

PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 5,125 crore in Itanagar, highlighting that Arunachal Pradesh now receives 16 times more funds than before, unlike during the Congress regime.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. He arrived in Itanagar on Monday morning. He interacted with businesses and taxpayers, taking their feedback on the new GST rates. He then laid the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹5,000 crore. He expressed his deep love for the Northeast, stating that he has made it mandatory for his ministers to visit the Northeast. He himself has visited the Northeast more than 70 times during his tenure as Prime Minister. After Arunachal Pradesh, he will visit the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple complex, where he will inaugurate development projects at the temple complex.
Addressing the people in Itanagar, PM Modi said that the states receive a portion of the country's taxes. During the Congress government, Arunachal Pradesh received only ₹6,000 crore in central taxes in 10 years. However, during the 10 years of the BJP government, Arunachal Pradesh has received over ₹1 lakh crore. This means the BJP government has given 16 times more money to Arunachal Pradesh than the Congress government, and this is just the tax portion.

Received Mother's Blessings Today in the Lap of the Himalayas
He further addressed the gathering, stating that when the countrymen gave him the opportunity to serve in 2014, he resolved to free the country from Congress-oriented thinking. Modi clarified that his motivation comes not from the number of votes or seats in a state, but from the spirit of putting the nation first. He said that national interest is the foundation of every decision he makes. Modi described his Arunachal visit as special for three reasons. First, he received the blessings of Goddess Shailputri by visiting this land nestled in the lap of the Himalayas on the auspicious occasion of Navratri.

Second, the next-gen GST reforms were implemented in the country and the GST Savings Festival was launched, providing a double bonus to the public during the festive season. Third, several major projects were inaugurated in Arunachal Pradesh, which will accelerate the state's development. Modi said that from Tawang Monastery to Namsai, Arunachal is a wonderful confluence of peace and culture and the pride of Mother India.
Congress ministers visited here once or twice every two to four months.
PM Modi further said, "Our motivation in this state is not the number of votes or seats, but the spirit of 'Nation First'. Modi worships those who were never consulted. Therefore, the Northeast, which was forgotten by the Congress, has become a development priority since 2014." PM Modi said, "We have made last-mile connectivity the hallmark of our government and have ensured that the government will not be run from Delhi." Officials will have to come here more often and stay overnight.
