In Leh, the capital of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Gen-Z groups have launched a protest against the central government. Students staged a massive protest in support of Sonam Wangchuck, who has been on a hunger strike for 15 days demanding full statehood for Ladakh and inclusion in the Sixth Schedule. Hundreds of students took to the streets in support of Sonam Wangchuck. The situation worsened when police attempted to remove students protesting outside the BJP office. The protesting students became agitated and began pelting policemen and their vehicles with stones. They then set a CRPF van on fire.
17 female students molested at Delhi ashram
Seventeen female students have accused Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parth Sarathi, former head of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, of sexual harassment. The students alleged that the accused used obscene language, sent obscene messages, and forcibly touched them. The accused is currently absconding. Following the complaint, the Vasant Kunj (North) police registered a case and began an investigation. The institute is affiliated with Sharadapeetha Sringeri.
Team India reaches the Asia Cup final
India has secured its place in the final of the Asia Cup 2025. On Wednesday, Team India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in the Super Four. Abhishek Sharma's blistering innings and Kuldeep Yadav's lethal bowling secured India's victory. India will now face the last qualifying team from the Super Four in the final.
India slams Pakistan at UNHRC
India has slammed Pakistan at the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva. Following a Pakistani diplomat's baseless and provocative statement against India, Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi strongly criticized Pakistan for human rights violations and promoting terrorism. India drew global attention to the Pakistani army's bombing of its own innocent and helpless civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. India stated that Pakistan is the only country in the world that bombs and kills its own citizens using fighter jets. It also issued an ultimatum to Pakistan to vacate POK.
